Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?

1

Not at all. Flexibility is something you develop over time. Most riders come to yoga because they feel tight or uneven in their bodies. The practices are designed to meet you where you are and help you build mobility, strength, and awareness gradually.

How does yoga help my riding?

2

How quickly will I notice results?

Yoga improves body awareness, balance, stability, and breath control. Riders often notice immediate changes like a longer leg, softer hips, and a more stable position. Over time, yoga helps you develop better feel, balance and coordination in the saddle.

I already ride and train. Why do I need yoga?

3

Riding places repetitive demands on the body. Yoga helps balance those patterns by improving mobility, strength and recovery. It supports longevity in the sport and helps you ride more effectively without adding unnecessary strain.

Can beginners join your classes?

4

What makes your teaching different?

Yes. The classes include clear instruction and options so beginners can follow comfortably. Many students start with little or no yoga experience.

I am both a Grand Prix dressage rider and a yoga teacher. I understand the physical and mental demands of riding and translate yoga practices directly into what riders need in the saddle. The focus is practical and results-driven.

Many riders can feel a difference after a single class. The biggest improvements to your riding come with consistent practice over time.

What equipment do I need?

All you need is a yoga mat and enough space to move comfortably. Optional items like blocks or straps can be helpful, but many classes include alternatives using items you already have at home.

Are the classes only for equestrians?

Many classes are designed with riders in mind, but most practices are beneficial for anyone who wants to feel stronger, more mobile, and less tense. There is one category specifically for riders, called Yoga for Riders.
